Government urged to do more over British man arrested in India in 2017

The brother of a British man arrested in India in 2017 has criticised the UK government for not doing enough to bring him home.

Blogger Jagtar Singh Johal from Dumbarton was detained on terror-related charges that carry the death penalty.

Today in the House of Commons, his MP pressed the government to do more to secure his release, describing his case as “one of the most prominent injustices in modern UK foreign policy”.
