Rupert Welchman

Rupert Welchman has a long career in institutional investment management running European and Global Equity funds. He started his career at Columbia Threadneedle in 1997 before moving to First State Asset Management and then, since 2010, Union Bancaire Privee where he co-manages the Impact Equity Franchise. At UBP, Rupert has collaborated with a number of not-for-profit organisations with the objective of supporting change at scale both societally and environmentally.
Prior to joining the investment management world, Rupert spent two years living in the Northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, as part of the government-funded Japan Exchange and Teaching programme.
