Bella Sankey

Bella Sankey is a human rights campaigner and the Director of Detention Action, a human rights charity providing support for people in detention and campaigning for fundamental reform. Prior to this, Bella was a Deputy Director of Reprieve and a Director at Liberty. Bella regularly appears on television and radio including BBC, Sky News, Channel 4, LBC, ITV, TALK Radio & Times Radio. She holds a law degree from the University of Cambridge, a law masters from SOAS and is a non-practicing Barrister. Bella joined Reprieve’s Board in 2021.
