Conducting drone strikes outside of armed conflict is wrong and unlawful.
All too often, it results in innocent people, including children, being killed or injured. It is the death penalty without charge or trial – without any chance for a person to prove their innocence before being killed. It is also counter-productive, undermining attempts to build stable, peaceful societies.
People attacked by US drone strikes have included acclaimed journalists, politicians, prominent peace activists, and whole families in Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan and Libya.
We are at the forefront of the fight against the unlawful use of armed drones. We investigate who is targeted, we support the families of innocent people who have been killed in getting their voices heard, and we campaign to end extrajudicial killings.
