The Sunday Times Magazine report on the British women and children detained in camps in North East Syria following the collapse of the Islamic State, many of whom were victims of trafficking to the region.
Director of Reprieve Maya Foa said: “Isis worked as a trafficking agency, grooming teenagers and selling them on the idea they were coming to this wonderful paradise. We can all say these women and girls made bad choices, but I’m convinced many did not know what was going on.”
