With years of experience in the human rights space, Ali has conducted research and advocacy on documenting human rights abuses, particularly in conflict.

Prior to joining Reprieve U.S., Ali worked with various non-profits and think tanks, including Mwatana for Human Rights, a leading Yemen-based organization, where he focused primarily on international humanitarian law (IHL) and efforts to mitigate civilian harm in conflict. Ali completed a year-long fellowship at Columbia University as an Obama Scholar, concentrating on human rights, civil society, and leadership. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Sana’a University and is fluent in Arabic and English.
