With that goal in mind, we no longer have unpaid volunteer roles because we recognize that not everyone is in a position to give their time for free. Instead, we are very lucky to have the support of universities who fund summer internships and 12-month fellowships, law firms and corporate partners who offer their staff on secondments, and charitable trusts who fund internships both in the UK and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"postgrad-fellowships\">Postgraduate Fellowships<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Reprieve US is pleased to offer 12 month fellowships based in Washington DC to graduating students who are able to secure external funding.&nbsp;&nbsp;Fellows typically source funding through sponsorship, law school-funds, corporate foundations and other public interest fellowships.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates for fellowships beginning in 2026 should review our <a href=\"https:\/\/reprieve.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/2026-Postgrad-Fellowships-final.pdf\">role description<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/reprieve.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/2026-Postgraduate-applicant-information.pdf\">applicant information<\/a>. We accept applications for placements on academic credit within the school year, and&nbsp;not over the summer when applicants must be externally funded. We cannot consider applicants who wish to self-fund their placements. We accept applications from students of any discipline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants should be available to work full-time for Reprieve for at least 8 weeks. We are now open for applications for the summer of 2026.
