{"id":17975,"date":"2020-11-12T15:18:59","date_gmt":"2020-11-12T15:18:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reprieve.org\/uk\/?post_type=person&#038;p=17975"},"modified":"2020-11-12T15:19:00","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T15:19:00","slug":"lord-richard-rogers-of-riverside-ch","status":"publish","type":"person","link":"https:\/\/reprieve.org\/uk\/person\/lord-richard-rogers-of-riverside-ch\/","title":{"rendered":"Lord (Richard) Rogers of Riverside CH"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Roger is a world-renowned architect and founder of the Richard Rogers Partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richard is perhaps best known for his work on the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the Lloyd\u2019s building and the Millennium Dome in London, and the European Court of Human Rights building in Strasbourg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is a winner of the RIBA Gold Medal, the Thomas Jefferson Medal, the RIBA Stirling Prize, the Minerva Medal and Pritzker Prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1996, Rogers was introduced into the House of Lords, taking the title \u201cThe Lord Rogers of Riverside.\u201d He was given a Barony of the United Kingdom for life. In April 1997, Rogers received an honorary professorship from the Thames Valley University.
