Guantánamo Bay

BREAKING: Trump transfers first detainee out of Guantánamo

The Trump administration has transferred a Guantánamo Bay detainee, Ahmed Muhammed Haza al-Darbi, to Saudi Arabia. This is the first time a detainee has left Guantánamo under this President.

While it is always welcome when someone leaves Guantánamo, this just shows that the only way to get out now is to plead guilty, whether it is coerced and involuntary or not.

The President should immediately release the five men who have been cleared by six federal agencies and then give a fair trial to the remaining 35 detainees or set them free.

More to come soon…
